DAY 1 Sofia - Istanbul
Meet at Sofia Airport, Terminal 2 at 19:00 for the Turkish Airlines flight Sofia-Istanbul at 21:40. Arrival in Istanbul at 00:55 the following day.
DAY 2 Istanbul – Antananarivo, Madagascar
Brief layover and flight to Madagascar with Turkish Airlines at 02:10. Arrival the same day at 15:05 local time. Welcome to Madagascar! Meet and transfer to Le Louvre Hotel & Spa – 4* or similar. Rest, dinner, and overnight stay.
DAY 3 Antananarivo – Morondava
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Morondava: The Land of Baobabs.
Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, visit the famous Avenue of the Baobabs during a magical sunset. This iconic site, with its massive trees, offers a breathtaking landscape, especially as the sun sets over the red, dusty soil of the Menabe region. The sacred baobab stands out among those lined along the path. Locals come here to make offerings and honor their ancestors. We’ll also see the “Loving Baobabs,” which locals believe bring luck to couples. Overnight at Palissandre Cote Ouest Resort & SPA – 4* or similar. Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 5 - Kirindy Reserve
Breakfast. Early morning jeep trip to Kirindy Forest, a private nature reserve located in western Madagascar, about 70 km northeast of the city and approximately 3.5 hours by car on a dirt road.
Spend part of the day exploring Kirindy Forest. This forest is a true haven for naturalists, botanists, and nature enthusiasts. We may encounter lemurs and other species, and if we're lucky, spot the fosa (Cryptoprocta ferox), an endemic species and the largest wild predator living in Madagascar.
Return to Morondava to enjoy the stunning nature of the majestic baobabs. Overnight at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 5 Morondava – Antananarivo
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for the flight back to the capital.
Meet and transfer to Le Louvre Hotel & Spa – 4* or similar. Free time to relax. Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 6 Antananarivo – Andasibe (approx. 5 hours drive with a 1-hour stop at Peyrieras Reserve)
Breakfast. Depart for Andasibe, passing through beautiful and scenic locations. Stop in Marozevo to visit the private Peyrieras Reserve. During the visit, we’ll see endemic island animals such as chameleons, frogs, iguanas, crocodiles, and more. Highlights include the red-bellied, brown, and crowned lemurs, various geckos, chameleons, iguanas, butterflies, and crocodiles. Verdant hills and high-altitude terraced rice paddies surround the route to the nature reserve. Visit Andasibe National Park, one of Madagascar's largest and most beautiful parks, covering 155 sq. km and located about 150 km east of Antananarivo. This protected area, with an altitude ranging from 800 to 1260 meters, is home to 11 species of lemurs, dozens of bird species, rare insects, large geckos, and numerous orchid species (over 1,000 on the island). Evening walk in Andasibe Park. Overnight at Mantadia Lodge – 4* or similar. Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 7 Andasibe
Breakfast. Morning visit to the Vakona Reserve, where we’ll see more lemur species and other animals. Early mornings are the best time to encounter rare species. In the afternoon, visit the tropical forest and Analamazoatra Park to observe interesting endemic animals and plants, including Madagascar's largest lemur, the Indri. These charming creatures have black and white fur and can grow up to 80 cm long. Unfortunately, this species is among the island's endangered. The park is in a humid zone with many endemic flora and fauna. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 8 Andasibe – Antananarivo
Breakfast. Depart for Antananarivo with a short stop for lunch and to admire the island’s beautiful landscape. Arrival in Antananarivo and check-in at Le Louvre Hotel & Spa – 4* or similar. Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 9 Antananarivo – Istanbul
Breakfast. Begin the day with a visit to the most important monument of Malagasy culture – the Royal Hill of Ambohimanga, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Royal Hill of Ambohimanga consists of a royal city and burial site, linked to the strong sense of national identity among the Malagasy over the past 500 years, retaining its spiritual and sacred character. Today, Ambohimanga attracts pilgrims from around the world as Madagascar’s largest and most significant religious center.
The tour continues with visits to Lake Anosy (heart-shaped), Independence Avenue, the Queen’s Palace, the City Hall building, and more.
Transfer to Ivato International Airport in Antananarivo for the flight to Istanbul at 16:25.
DAY 10 Istanbul - Sofia
Arrival at Istanbul Airport at 05:45. Short layover and flight to Sofia at 08:50. Arrival at Sofia Airport at 09:10.
